Let's talk about the nonsense in the "evangelical" churches.
We are not trying to pick on Evangelicals, because there are errors in all branches of Christianity. Roman Catholic, charismatic, fundamentalist, Greek Orthodox...you name it. So we are not picking on the Evangelicals.
We are, however, going to address some of their errors because Evangelicals usually assume that they represent pure Christianity.
They do NOT. For example...
Evangelicals Teach Things NOT in The Bible
Here are some of the things Protestant churches teach that are NOT in the Bible...
"You ought to go to church." That command is NOT in the Bible. Look it up.
"Saved sinners." The phrase is NOT in the Bible.
"Sunday." The word Sunday is NOT in the Bible!
"Revival." That is NOT in the Bible.
"Trinity." NOT in the Bible.
"Church buildings, pulpits, pews, stained
glass windows..." NOT in the Bible...
None of these phrases, objects or ideas
are anywhere taught in the Scriptures.
They were imported from outside the
Bible by "religious" men. Most of it is
man-made Roman Catholicism.
This whole "religious system" is NOT in the Bible!!!!

Look up these phrases and concepts in your Bible concordance.
What? Some of you are saying you do not have a concordance...
Isn't that interesting!
The religious men who are supposed to be teaching you to read God's Word have never even taught you how to use a concordance. So you do not even know how to study the Bible for yourself.
Interesting, isn't it.
What, then, are these Evangelical leaders teaching you to do? It's simple...
Evangelicals Expect You to Follow THEM
Evangelical leaders want you to follow them, so they can make good denominational people out of you. And receive your tithes and offerings.
Your Baptist leaders want you to be good Baptists...
Your Methodist leaders want you to be good Methodists...
Your Presbyterian leaders want you to be good Presbyterians...
Hey, show me ANYWHERE that the Bible says you should be a Baptist, Methodist, or any other kind of denominational person and I'll eat my Bible. Leather cover and all.
It's not in there, folks.
In fact, God FORBIDS these denominations. Did you know that?
Read I Corinthians 1:10 for yourself. God tells the Body of Christ that there should be NO DIVISIONS...and in those first three chapters of the book he reproves believers for following men instead of following Jesus Christ.
Are Evangelicals the "standard," the "role-models" or great examples we should all be following?
NOT ON YOUR LIFE.
You Are Supposed to Follow CHRIST
Our role model is Jesus Christ. Jesus says "Follow ME..."
We are to follow HIM, not Evangelical Heresy.
And nowhere in the New Testament does Christ or his apostles ever tell us to "dress up, show up, shut up and shell out (in an offering plate)."
Jesus Christ never tells us to "go to church," sing outdated and old-fashioned hymns, listen to dull organ music or put up with boring sermons from religious deadheads who have never really read the Bible for themselves.
Christ calls us to follow him and live an abundant life (John 10:10). And if that includes all this Evangelical religious nonsense we are talking about, then challenge your religious leaders to show it to you in the Scriptures.
We are to follow Christ.
Not Evangelical heresy.
